What a find this is! Antique samplers were actually practice work made by children, teaching the skills of sewing and needlework.
This old sampler has some fraying around the edge. It seems to have a number of names through it. The sampler measures 12″ x 7″ It is framed in a contemporary black frame. I would guess its age would be late 1800’s.
