The C.E. Smith Single Aluminum Transom Rod Holder adds a rod holder to the transom area or a seating station. It’s made with outboard engine wells in mind. The tube leans 5 degrees away from its 3 x 2-3/4 inch mounting base. Anodized aluminum won’t rust, and it’s lighter than stainless on a tower or rail where weight adds up.
A 3/8 inch thick blade, a welded 1/3 inch gimbal bar and a 1-5/8 inch ID tube with a flared opening make it strong and easy to use. The tapered liner and a rod security hole in the blade help protect your rods. A white vinyl liner is included. Because it clamps on, you can move it later as your rigging changes.
Mount it vertically or with some outward angle for a wider fishing spread. It stands 10 inches tall overall. Tighten the clamp screws evenly so the holder sits square and doesn’t rotate under load. Browse more rod holders.
