The Cattlemans Cutlery Signature Blue Trapper has satin-finished 3Cr13 stainless clip and spey blades with a blue jigged Delrin handle, stainless bolsters and an inlay shield, closing to 4.13 inches.
Everyday cutting is the clip blade’s part, while the spey blade’s flatter edge and rounded tip is purpose-built for detail work and skinning tasks a pointed blade handles less cleanly, the same proven pairing that has made the trapper one of the most enduring traditional patterns. Jigging is the grooved texture pressed into the Delrin, giving the fingers something to hold where a smooth surface turns slick, and blue stands well apart from the browns and ambers that dominate most traditional lineups.
Each blade opens on a nail nick, the traditional way, secured by a slip joint, where spring tension does the work rather than a mechanical locking bar. Delrin resists cracking, moisture and the chemicals found around livestock, holding its dimensions where natural bone would move. Explore more Trapper Knives.
