The Garmin ECHOMAP UHD2 54cv Fish Finder Combo is a 5 in chartplotter and fish finder combo with a bright keyed display. It comes preloaded with BlueChart g3 US coastal charts with Navionics data. That makes it a good fit for bays, sounds and nearshore fishing.
Garmin CHIRP traditional sonar shows fish arches and bottom, and ClearVü scanning sonar gives near-photographic images of structure below the boat. High-contrast vivid color palettes make it easier to tell fish from cover. With a compatible Garmin transducer, it runs 500 W CHIRP traditional sonar to about 1,900 ft and ClearVü to about 750 ft. The unit also supports Garmin Navionics+ and Navionics Vision+ cartography as upgrades.
The 5 in screen has an 800 x 480 WVGA IPS resolution, and the unit measures 7.4 x 4.8 x 2.4 in and weighs about 1.1 lb. It is IPX7 waterproof, runs on 9 to 18 V DC and draws about 1.0 A at 12 V. It stores 5,000 waypoints, 100 routes and 50,000 track points, with a microSD slot for cards up to 32 GB. The 5 Hz GPS receiver has WAAS support for fast, accurate position updates.
This version does not include a transducer, so pair it with a compatible Garmin 4-pin transducer. The box includes a power/data cable, tilt mount, flush mount and hardware. Built-in Wi-Fi connects to the free ActiveCaptain app for the OneChart feature, software updates and Garmin Quickdraw Community data. If you have another compatible 5 or 7 in ECHOMAP UHD2 aboard, the two can share sonar, waypoints and routes wirelessly. Other combos and units are in our fish finder units section.
