The Off Grid Tools Survival Axe is 11.5 inches overall with a 5 inch black oxide 420 stainless head, a 4 inch cutting edge, a black ABS handle and eight hex sockets.
This is a vehicle and emergency tool rather than a woodsman’s axe. Alongside the edge it has a glass breaker, a belt and cord cutter and hex sockets in eight sizes. The glass breaker and cutter are what matter in a crash, and having them on the same tool as an axe means one item covers extraction rather than three.
Eight sockets covering 9/16, 1/2, 3/8, 7/16, 15mm, 13mm, 10mm and 11mm handle most fasteners on a vehicle or a trailer. 420 stainless resists corrosion in a vehicle or a boat where a carbon head would rust, and the black oxide coating cuts glare. Explore more camping tools.
