The Sea-Dog Stainless Side Mount Removable Rod Holder slides in and out of its mounting plate. With the holder removed, only a low-profile plate stays on the boat. It’s formed 316 stainless steel with a 30 degree angle. Sea-Dog makes a wide range of marine hardware sized for recreational boats.
It takes rods up to 1-13/16 inches. Removing the holder when it isn’t needed keeps lines and people from snagging on it. It’s a good fit where space is tight. The design is made to hold up to saltwater exposure.
It installs with four 10 flat head fasteners, not included. Mount the plate where the rod will clear the gunwale. Use stainless fasteners when installing to avoid corrosion where metals meet. Browse more rod holders.
