This is a used pair of Mares Classic 3 mm dive boots. The Classic uses a hard sole engineered for control and power transmission during the finning action, so effort from the leg reaches the fin blade rather than being absorbed by a soft sole.
Super-elastic neoprene around the ankle keeps the boot flexible and easier to pull on, while the standard neoprene lower section handles warmth and grip. A rear notch holds the fin strap in place so it does not ride up over the heel.
